Facts about the LFPD

The Louisville Fire Protection District (LFPD) provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the citizens in our service area.

District Growth 1990-2005

Approximately 13,000 residents in 1990 to approximately 23,000 in 2005, a 76% increase.

Growth in the service sector has impacted our call volume due to increased traffic flow on our roads and highways, and the ever increasing number of accidents. We are also increasingly impacted by an aging Louisville population that require Emergency Medical Services. It is likely that the demands for these services will continue growing.

Services offered by the Louisville Fire Protection District include, but are not limited to:

  • Emergency Medical
  • Structure Fires
  • Motor Vehicle Accidents
  • Wildland Fires
  • Citizen Assists
  • Vehicle Fires
  • Hazardous Material Spills
  • Mutual Aid Assistance
  • Plan Review and Inspection
  • Public Education
